Q. Why are the pictures and documents previews blank?
A. If you have a mouse that has a scroll wheel, and you try to use it, the previews in the browser will not be created correctly. We recommend that you refrain from using the mouse scroll wheel with this product.
Q. CardMaker does not mail my cards for me.
A. In order for CardMaker to E-mail your cards you need to have a simple MAPI e-mail client installed (e.g. Outlook Express.) If you do not, you can save the card.exe file to your hard disk and then e-mail it as an attachment as you would any other file.
Q. Why are the text effects so slow?
A. The text effects functionality is a very power hungry application. We suggest that you do not use more than three lines of text and do not use more than a few words on each line.
Q. Why does the text effects progress bar not get to the end, or not start again for a new beginning?
A. This bar is more of a busy indicator than a progress bar. It is designed to show that Card Maker is still functioning and not to display how much longer it will take to generate the text effect.
Q. How do I use Address Book?
A. You can use the Address Book to print your card documents to a number of different recipients. On the print page select the "One card for each person selected in the Address Book" option and then open up the Address Book. Choose the entries in the list that you want to use by checking the cell on the left of them. A cross should appear in the box and the name of the person or people will appear at the top of the screen. Once you have finished selecting the records you want to print, close the address book. Now, when you print your card, a copy will be printed for each person that you have selected in the list. The same steps can be done for printing envelopes.
